At every level, from initial design to the packout process, W.D. Burch follows strict standards and processes of quality control.  WD Burch is fully committed to quality through adherence of self-imposed as well as industry-issued quality guidelines, best illustrated through our ISO9001:2000 Certified Quality Management System.  To ensure that our quality systems are maintained, we undergo a thorough audit of our design and production processes every six months.   We actively pursue our goal of surpassing our customers expectations by way of the following:

  • Conforming to the workmanship standards stated in IPC-A-610 Rev C Class II
  • Controlling Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) damage of ESD sensitive materials by utilizing Anti-Static bins, flooring, coats, foot and wrist straps, and ground/static monitoring devices at all workstations.
  • Routine calibration services performed on equipment in conformance with ISO 9001
  • Continual process improvement through constant auditing of processes and training of all employees, engineers and technicians alike, with respect to ESD, safety, and on-the-job performance.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Continual Process Improvement
STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL (SPC)
SPC is used to monitor the manufacturing process to ensure processes are operating within normal parameters. Data is collected weekly and processed to observe normal or abnormal processes. Abnormal processes are corrected prior to continued usage.
